Experienced manufacturer of steel products
Outokummun Metalli is a specialist in order-driven series production. We manufacture high-quality steel products for international markets. Our core business is the production of harvester head frames and their spare parts for the John Deere and Waratah brands.
Our harvester head supply chain operates in close collaboration with our partners Waratah OM Oy and John Deere Forestry Oy. Outokummun Metalli is responsible for the production of harvester head frames, including product manufacturability and production technology development. The main stages of our manufacturing process are bending, welding, machining, painting, and mechanical assembly, including hydraulic motors and cylinders.
The entire harvester head supply chain provides superior resources for product development, manufacturing, and distribution, benefiting our global customer base.
In addition to harvester heads, we also manufacture grapples, suitable for various machinery. For grapples, we are responsible for product design and production in collaboration with our subsidiary Koneosapalvelu, which handles marketing and sales under the Vahva brand. We also produce grapples under the Waratah brand, with distribution managed by the global Waratah sales organization.

According to a customer satisfaction survey conducted in 2023, 93 % of respondents rated Outokummun Metalli’s overall performance as either very good or truly excellent. In our latest employee survey conducted in 2023, our eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score) was 34, compared to the industry average of 5. eNPS is a metric used to measure employee engagement and satisfaction.
