Outokummun Metalli’s History Book Published

The book “Outokummun Metalli Oy – From Workshop to Factory 1980–2025“, detailing the history of Outokummun Metalli Oy, was published in November 2025. The book tells a compelling story of Finnish industrial expertise and entrepreneurship. It traces the company’s development from industrial project deliveries to the product development of harvester heads, international partnerships, and the establishment of modern manufacturing.

The book was written by PhD Jukka Partanen and Outokummun Metalli Board Member Reija Nevalainen. Outokummun Metalli extends warm thanks to Jukka Partanen, whose expertise in historical research was invaluable in compiling the company’s milestones into written form.

The history book is a tribute above all to the lifelong work of the company’s founder, Pekka Nevalainen, as well as to the staff and customers who have contributed to Outokummun Metalli’s operations over the years.

Based on the book, the History page on our website has been updated in English, providing a short overview of the company’s most significant milestones. The book has been published in Finnish only.
