Long Service Careers Recognised

For decades, our company has brought employees together ahead of the Christmas holidays for a traditional lunch gathering. The occasion provides an opportunity to reward employees who have reached significant long-service milestones during the year.

Continuity is one of our core values, and long careers play an essential role in supporting it. We place great value on employees who demonstrate long-term commitment to the company, as this contributes significantly to stable and efficient operations. In addition, we are proud to have many second-generation employees continuing their careers at Outokummun Metalli.

In 2025, eight employees reached major service anniversaries at Outokummun Metalli, with a combined total of 135 years of service. We extend our sincere thanks for your contributions: Sami, Pasi, Antti, Mikko, Markus, Artyom, Simo and Lauri.

The event also included the presentation of the Value Metal Professional of the Year 2025 award, selected through an internal employee vote. The recipient has demonstrated exemplary commitment to our company values throughout the year: customer focus, continuity, sustainability and collaboration. The Value Metal Professional of the Year award was presented to spare parts specialist Pasi.
