The locomotive shed next to our facility
Outokummun Metalli purchased the severely deteriorated old Sysmäjärvi locomotive shed in 2012 and renovated it for storage use. Originally built in the 1920s, the locomotive shed delights our visitors with its impressive appearance and has even served as a venue for our company celebrations.
Next to the locomotive shed is our own heating plant, which operates on wood chips.
